The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) and Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) have signed an agreement to work in tandem to develop employment-oriented skills among the youth.An official statement here said the two bodies had reached an understanding to work together by supporting training programmes of skill and livelihood development for the benefit of the poor under corporate social responsibility activities.
The areas of mutual cooperation include training for youth belonging to the economically weaker section of the society with emphasis on SC/ST/OBC categories and women in various trades of construction industry. HUDCO’s role would be limited to provide financial assistance for the activities approved by it under its CSR activities, the statement said.
